In collaboration with the Washingtonian Custom Media, Big Fish Media produces all editorial content for annual magazines produced for Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy and School of Foreign Service. We hire the writers, assign and shape stories, procure art, manage timelines and work with designers to deliver beautifully produced magazines targeted to alumni, faculty, and students. BFM arranged interviews for Salit on major market radio shows, engaged her to speak at major conferences, and helped her develop and place essays for Fast Company, The Huffington Post, Inc., Harvard Business Review, Linked In Pulse, and Costco’s widely read newsletter.
Counseled David Rock and the Neuroleadership Institute on strategic public relations to support the Institute’s global summit in New York City, 2016 and 2012. Carried out high profile media relations and blog publishing for Rock and other thought leaders on his team, with placements in Harvard Business Review, Fast Company, Huffington Post, and Psychology Today. Led multiple publicity campaigns for the John J. Heldrich Center for Workforce Development at Rutgers and its national respected Work Trends surveys, over many years. Obtained coverage on National Public Radio,  Huffington Post, The New York Times “Week in Review,” Associated Press, Marketplace Radio, multiple guest appearances on PBS News Hour, extensive coverage on major blogs.  Led media relations campaign for Carl Van Horn’s 2013 book published by Rowman Littlefield, Working Scared–Or Not At All.   Coverage included Washington Post, AOL.com, Newark Star Ledger/Nj.com, and many other outlets.
McCallister Towing and packager Carpe Diem Press hired us to write and co-produce the illustrated corporate history of this family owned and operated towing company that began in the 19th century in New York Harbor. And yes, Herb got to take a ride on a tugboat.
Everyone looks for it, everyone trusts it. Big Fish Media was honored to help develop this corporate history of the Underwriters Laboratories —to be published by IdeaPress Publishing in 2016. The UL certification label–which has appeared on appliances of every kind–was created during an era of frenzied activity by American inventors, designed to be a lasting symbol of high standards and incorruptibility. In today’s world of innovations and new industries and challenges, UL continues to make the world safer with its legendary exactitude and testing.
Big Fish Media shaped the marketing plan and executed the publicity launch of Together Strong, an app that addresses suicide-risk among veterans. We produced website pages, a video script, social content, emails, and other collaterals for the product launch, making content available to partners.
